I think it's high time women stop letting companies and influencers with no skin in the game dictate what trends are popular. Also, maybe it's just my age showing, and with it comes introspection, but I really am so annoyed at how easily swayed I was by some trends. I always had my own style in my 20s, but I was way too focused on trends for my taste back then now that I think of it at the age that I am now. It's all about being comfortable in your skin. Life is too damn short to worry about trends--especially the ugliest ones. We're embarrassed by these now.
